On March 1, Varsity baseball continued tryouts on the lower FHN field. Tryouts consisted of pitching, bunting, hitting, bunting defense, running and catching with multiple groups trading in and out to work on each specific skill. The tryouts then concluded with final cuts being made to the team, in preparation for practices to begin on Saturday, March 2. The team is now in full swing, beginning practice for their upcoming jamboree against Pattonville, Duschene and St. Charles High Schools on March 8. “I was never really worried about cuts,” Junior Owen Gonzalez said. “But it sucks seeing some of your friends not being able to make it.”
