“I was excited [to find out our school was in the poll] because we don’t get a lot of recognition,” senior Ellyn Yarde said.
The poll ended at 9:15 last night, with a close vote tally between FHN and Highland High School. FHN won by 200 votes, ending the poll with 32,648 votes for FHN. Katie Felts will be at FHN by 5:20 Friday evening on the football field.
“I knew we would come back because our school has better team spirit,” junior Erin Powelson said.
However FHN had a turn around from the day before, yesterday at 2:20 FHN was down by more than 2,000 votes from the leading school, Highland High School. Within seven hours FHN gained almost 27,000 votes.
“It was great,” treasurer Joan Baur said,” we won against Highland, Illinios we beat them out.”
