Today Microsoft unveiled the next big operating system for phones, the Windows Phone 7. It was announced today that on the week of November 8th stores will start selling phones with this operating system. Including a few new HTC phones. This new operating system comes packed with many games and apps that are available to users of the iOS. Although, Angry Birds has not showed up as of yet. The interface is sort of like the Windows Media Library and the Zune with the App buttons acting more like hubs for groups of apps and the things within apps. Which seems very cool and easy to organize just sort of confusing at first. One thing Windows Phone 7 does lack, however, is the Pandora app which may just be my favorite app on my iPhone(though this is said to be on its way). It uses a mobile version of Internet Explorer for its browser, and surprisingly that has gotten good reviews as far as performance goes. Windows Phone 7 isn’t just another competitor for the iPhone.
