“I think it’s great that so many students and their parents, and staff members got involved in this contests,” said Assistant Principal Andrew Downs.
FHN students are encouraged to to show up and support their team. Being KSDK’s most spirited fan winners, students are asked to go above just showing up at the game. Students who arrive before 5 p.m. and are adorned in clothes of black, gold, or pink will be admitted to the game free of charge.
“Black and gold are for supporting our team, but the pink is because it’s breast cancer awareness month,” clarified Activities Office Administrative Assistant Jane Greiner.
The broadcasts will be aired at precisely 5:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. Felts will also be showing extended highlights of the game at 10 p.m. and then 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
“Letting students in free is a kind of thank you to the students for putting so much effort into getting this, and also for being at the game for so long,” said Downs.
Adding to the excitement of having KSDK’s Katie Felts there, the game will also feature the cheerleaders, the dance team, and a performance by the Francis Howell North Marching Band. It should be an exciting evening for everyone who attends.
“I think we have great kids, and great fans, and it’s really nice to see them featured,” said Downs.
