A few weeks ago I told you all about Microsoft’s new mobile operating system, the Windows Phone 7. Well as promised three new phones have gone on sale today with that operating system. These phones are the HTC HD7, the HTC Surround and the Samsung Focus.
The HTC HD7 is the phone available for T-Mobile users and being 4.3 inches long it is pretty big. Really it looks suspiciously like the HTC Touch HD2 which sported the not so nice Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. The phone is $200 with a phone contract or $500 without, which is about the same as an iPhone 4 but it has less memory with only 8 and 16 GB varieties.
AT&T users get the HTC Surround and the Samsung Focus. The HTC Surround has a slide-out speaker and a kick stand for use as a phone-speaker-internet-camera combo machine. Again this is a pretty large phone being even longer than the HD7.
The Samsung Focus is, to put it simply, really awesome. It looks really cool, has the best display, and is really thin and lightweight. So if having a giant phone isn’t your thing or if you just want a fantastic display, get this phone. Also, both the AT&T phones have the same price model that T-Mobile uses with the HD7.
