The iPad is one of the newer items in the pantheon of Apple’s gadgets. And I have only recently had the chance of using one. The first thing that I noticed when using the iPad: how futuristic it feels. On the other hand, its use is essentially the same as the iPod Touch except bigger. This is a definite advantage for some apps like news apps and ebook apps, but is the same as the iPod for music.
Until recently the iPad has not had multitasking or unified mail; however, today Apple released the iOS 4.2 update which allows you to do just those things. This update also came with abilities new to both the iPhone and the iPad is the ability to search the text within a safari page, and the ability to use different fonts in the notes app.
