I have been reading Dracula, by Bram Stoker, and I can not decide if it is a good book or not. It is quite intriguing, but as of yet I’m not sure how some things are relevant to the story. For example, why include letters between the main character’s fiancé and her best friend? It is well written for sure, but you have to know some older words because it was written in 1897. Bram Stoker leaves a lot to the imagination if you ask me, I don’t notice much imagery. I mean sure he does a great job describing the characters but as for the setting? Not so much. Now as I said before I haven’t yet finished Dracula so it may explain itself as I continue to read but as of right now I would say don’t read it unless you like being kept in the dark about what is happening. Dracula has been made into a movie, I plan on watching it as soon as I finish the book to compare. Here’s the trailer if you’re interested
