Starting Tuesday, Dec. 7 the FHN Lady Knights basketball team will begin their fight towards winning this year’s tournament at Marquette high school. So far this year the Lady Knights have taken many preparations in order to insure they perform their best. Currently, the team is working on their speed, as well as shooting and practicing different plays they plan on using during the tournament. Although the tournament approaches quickly, they feel like they will be ready in time for the competition.
“I think we’ll be ready, but we will have continue to work hard at practice,” said Kelsey Fouch.
Also, the team feels as if they have a slight disadvantage against some of the other teams.
“Our team is not very tall, so we have to shoot from the outside,” Brooke Oostendorp said.
This task is more difficult and requires more skill, but they hope to over some their challenges while staying positive.
” I think there will be stuff we still need to work on, but I think we’ll be fired up and ready to go,” Oostendorp said.
The Lady Knights basketball team hopes that many people attend the game and support and cheer them on to a victory.
