Friday, Dec. 3 Volunteer Knights will be hosting Parents Night Out from 5:30- 9:30 p.m. in the commons. Parents Night Out is a fundraiser that Volunteer Knights hosts to give parents a chance to go out without the kids.
“We have a total of 35 kids we will be babysitting this year, which is more than we had last year,” said sponsor Kellie Voyles.
There will be a lot of different activities there for the kids to do. Such as bowling, musical chairs, board games, and arts and crafts. There will also be movies that kids can watch. Santa will also be there.
“ This is one of my favorite events to work at because you get to babysit with a whole bunch of your friends and you get to watch Disney movies, color pictures, and all other kinds of fun,” said junior Aly Bouquet.
They babysit kids that are potty trained and up to 12 years old. The cost is $15 per kid but if they have more than one kid then it’s $15 for the first kid and $5 for each additional kid. There will be 12 members from Volunteer Knights there working Friday and all the money that it raised will go towards scholarship money for the seniors that are in Volunteer Knights.
“I think it will be a lot of fun,” said Voyles.
