On Nov. 18, the girl’s basketball tryouts began in the large gym. Girls who were trying out for basketball were either placed on the freshmen, junior varsity, or varsity team. Tryouts tested the players’ skills and abilities.
“I think tryouts are hard, there’s a lot of competition,” junior Cristina Bodden said.
Returning players are back and ready to return to play the game they know and love. Players who are returning must tryout like the rest of the new upcoming players. For most girls this is a chance to play old positions.
“I would like forward, it’s the position I’ve always played,” Bodden said.
The girl’s basketball had their first game on Nov. 29 against Marquette.
“I’m looking forward to the team, the team makes the season good or bad,” junior Sarah Teson said.
