This is a press release from the Francis Howell School Administration.
The safety of Francis Howell School District students is a top priority for our district and the communities we serve. Therefore, we would like to make you aware of a situation concerning student safety.
It has been reported that a suspicious white male, approximately 40-50 years old, driving a white SUV has been seen in the Warren Elementary and Francis Howell Central High School attendance areas. The man has approached parents and students at bus stops in these areas asking unusual questions. The area police departments have been notified.
Please talk with your children about this important safety issue. Remind them not to talk to strangers and never to get into a vehicle with anyone unless they have permission from you. Principals and teachers will be reinforcing this message at school and district bus drivers and security officers have been alerted to provide heightened awareness in our community.
If you observe suspicious activity, you should note the following information and then call 911:
• Record the license number, color, make and model of the vehicle, as well as any identifying marks on
the vehicle.
• Be able to describe the suspect, noting approximate height and weight; color, length and style of hair;
presence of facial hair; distinctive clothing, or other markings.
Thank you for your help in ensuring that our students get to and from school safely.
Sincerely,
Dr. Pam Sloan
Superintendent
