Sleep itself is proven to help you become happy. Sleep is essential for human beings. It not only lets your body and mind recover from a big day but is also known to release stress and make you healthier at the same time. I am not saying show up to work or school tomorrow 54 minutes late and having your excuse be something like “apparently sleep is good for me” is a way to make you happy. It probably will make you feel a little better but instead try going to bed maybe a couple hours earlier instead. Teens are recommended to sleep for around 9 hours a night to allow the maturing body and brain to take in and release what is needed. It is important to follow this sleep pattern everyday to achieve sleep’s positive effects and all that it has to offer.
Getting more sleep feels the greatest the next morning, like waking up refreshed from a cocking rooster and chiming birds in the bright morning sun often brightens your mood throughout the day. So tonight try to go to bed earlier than usual and I am sorry this may require you to turn off that cell phone or log off of Facebook but it will make you happier in the long run. Grab that teddy bear of yours and fluff up that pillow to a long, much needed snooze.
Stay happy,
