For senior Brittni Strong winning first place in her category for Districts was more than exciting, it was a pay off from all the hard work she has done in DECA.
“ It feels great and very exciting to finally win 1st place in Districts,” Strong said. “I wasn’t able to place last year and its just great to know that all that hard work is just all finally going to pay off.”
Strong explains how she and the rest of the team prepared by taking tests that contained 100 questions, acted out plays to get a feel of how things were going to play out, and more importantly learn how to work with fellow team members.
“Everyone’s been trying to prep for State, and frankly we are all very excited to finally show them what we have been working so hard for,” senior Beth Hillis said. “Even though I wasn’t able to place in Districts this year, I’m sure the rest of the team will do great in State.”
