V-neck Wednesday was started by the student body. Whether it was started by watchers of Tosh.0 or an attendee at a conference, V-neck Wednesday has transformed into more than just a day of wearing a shirt. Jani Wilkens, co-sponsor of StuCo, told her opinion on the purpose of the day.
“I guess to unite the student body. It’s like a mini spirit day,” Wilkens said.
Many students are now supporting and trying to spread the mini spirit day.
“I think it’s a fun way to get people to show their school spirit. People are allowed to become one student body,” sophomore Cara Walter said.
With more students jumping on the bandwagon every Wednesday, StuCo has created a shirt for the sole purpose of supporting the day. T-shirt v-necks are being sold in room 133 for $10 with a front design of a strapping knight posed by “Francis Howell North” and the back of the shirt says “V-neck Wednesday.”
“I like how it says V-neck Wednesday on the back so people can tell what they are for,” Walter said.
