2011 Graduate, Mike Wilson started playing baseball when he was able to walk. His all time goal was to play college baseball, something he will be accomplishing this next season at Lindenwood University. Wilson was a four year Varsity player as well as a four year starter. He noticed LU when he first toured their campus and found out they were moving up too Division II in his first season there.
“(I’m looking forward to) the amazing campus, the quality of the athletic facilities and all of the improvements they are making, like adding a clubhouse and changing their field to turf,” Wilson said.
Along with being a All-State talent on the field, he is also a team player.
“He’s a great catcher and he’s a great teammate to have,” 2012 Graduate Kyle Schikore said.
While meeting all his new college teammates, Wilson will also be going out to compete for the starting catching position.
“Hopefully I’ll do well enough my Freshman year to start,” Wilson said. “Then keep up that success and keep working hard in hopes of getting drafted.”
