The FHNtoday.com crew sat down with Varsity volleyball outside hitter Erin Powelson for a small Q&A about her volleyball career.
FHNtoday.com: How long have you been playing volleyball?
Erin Powelson: “Since third grade”
FHNtoday: How long have you played on FHN’s Varsity volleyball team?
EP: “This is my third year.”
FHNtoday: What is your favorite thing about playing volleyball?
EP: “Being able to spend time with team because we love each other”
FHNtoday: What is your favorite Varsity experience?
EP: “My favorite experience is winning districts sophomore year and going on to sectionals.”
FHNtoday: What is your best Varsity performance?
EP: “Our game against [Howell] Central this year”
FHNtoday: What things motivate you in your volleyball career?
EP: “Knowing that it’s senior year and making it as far as possible since this is our last year.”
FHNtoday: What do you do to ensure success?
EP: “I work on the little things and fix the tiny things that make a big difference, and as a team, we work hard at practice and play well together at games.”
