My name is Alex Curry-Lipka. I’m a senior. On the outside I guess you could say I’m your typical ‘smart kid.’ I like to read and write; English is my favorite subject; I’m in a large number of clubs; and I am the Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook (You’ve probably seen me screaming in the halls after school, recruiting some group of people so I can interview them.)
But as usual, anyone who says they’re typical usually isn’t. I have big dreams. I want to get my Masters in education. I want to travel the world not just to see different places but to help people who can’t help themselves. I want to deliver TOMS to people who don’t have shoes and take pictures with all of them. I want to be in the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. Maybe it’s the 17-year old I-can-do-everything mindset but we all have to start somewhere.
So I’ll start here at FHN.
This blog won’t be about what great things I’m doing to change the world but what small things I notice that make people react. My hope is to entertain; my goal is stimulate change in people’s everyday decisions. Will I succeed? (Cue dramatic music!) I’m not sure but one can only try.
Love and nargles,
Alex
