The FHNtoday.com crew sat down with Varsity baseball shortstop and third baseman Braxton Martinez for a small Q & A about his baseball career.
FHNtoday.com: How long have you played baseball?
Braxton Martinez: Since I was five.
FHNtoday: How long have you played varsity at North?
BM: I started varsity as a freshman.
FHNtoday: What is your favorite thing about playing baseball at North?
BM: Being able to play with an amazing group of guys and the best coaching staff i could ask for.
FHNtoday: What has been your favorite varsity experience?
BM: Being a part of coach Dunahue’s four-hundredth win here at North.
FHNtoday: What things motivate you in your baseball career?
BM: My family, friends, and coaches always have confidence in me and it motivates me to be the best possible player I can be.
FHNtoday: What was your personal best varsity performance?
BM: Last year against Parkway West I went 6 for 6 with two homeruns in one inning.
FHNtoday: What do you do to ensure success?
BM: Stay focused and anytime I step on the field it’s all business. And I don’t expect anything less from me or my team
