The FHNtoday.com crew sat down with sophomore swimmer Olivia Miller for a small Q&A about her swimming career.
FHNtoday.com: How long have you been swimming?
Olivia Miller: “I have been swimming for 9 years.”
FHNtoday: How long have you swam on FHN’s Varsity swim team?
OM: “Two years.”
FHNtoday: What first got you interested in swimming?
OM: “I did swim lessons and my parents also swim.”
FHNtoday: Who motivates you?
OM: “My team, and my mom and dad.”
FHNtoday: What is your biggest accomplishment in your swimming career?
OM: “Getting 6th in GAC’s, and getting a 13 in 100 fly.”
FHNtoday: What has been your favorite experience this year?
OM: “GAC’s, water polo, and synchronizedswimming, because my friends and I did it and it was fun.”
FHNtoday: Have you ever suffered from any injuries?
OM: “My ankle. I had ankle surgery freshman year, but I first hurt it playing soccer that spring, and swimming made it worse.”
FHNtoday: How did you overcome your ankle injury?
OM: “I knew if I wanted to do well at GAC’s I had to push through the pain and swim as fast as I can .”
FHNtoday: What are you looking forward to the rest of the season?
OM: “The banquet, and wishing Dominique good luck at State.”
