Eighteen-year-old senior Haley Gilbert takes AP Art Studio, attends live shows at the Lemp Neighborhood Art Center and, like all true hipsters, denies she is one.
“I don’t really consider myself one really,” Gilbert said. “But a lot of people have said I am. It’d probably have to do with my clothes and style. I’m pretty hip. It also has to do with the fact that I’m into art.”
She plans to study film production at Webster University.
“I love all forms of expression,” Gilbert said, “and the process of it is a way for me to express myself, my ideas, and emotions.”
