People can make jokes without being offensive to others around them

Joking around is something that everyone does. Life would be very boring if there wasn’t that one person who always knows what to say to make everyone laugh. Unfortunately, our society has come up with inappropriate jokes that are hurtful and bring back the issue
of stereotypes.

Yo mamma jokes are hurtful comments that are meant to be funny. You do not know what goes on between someone and their mother. Home situations are varied and the joke is not worth the damage that is done.

Blonde jokes are also examples of cruel jokes. I have blonde hair, and I am not stupid. Even though I know it’s just a joke, I still do not like it when people make fun of me with blonde jokes. I am not dumb; like you, my head is filled with brains, not air.

People need to think before they speak; it is not worth hurting someone just for a few seconds of laughter.
