On August 8, FHN studets completed the first day of the 2012-2013 school year.
“It was good, but I got a bunch of stuff to sign,” sophomore Bo Nixon said.
Freshmen seemed to handle the transition to high school well, according to their junior and senior mentors. They were prepared for the occasion through Freshman Transition day, which took place on Monday.
“I think they did really well. That all seemed like they knew where they were going and I didnt see anybody that was totally lost or really confused,” mentor and senior Nathan Rhomberg said.
There was some confusion in lunches, however, as the final one was extended by five minutes in order for students to have time to finish eating.
“There was just a bunch of people and no one knew where to sit, first day and all,” Nixon said.
