Wednesday, Aug 29 Knights Of Excellence (KOE) had its first meeting of the school year in the auditorium.
“I think it went pretty good, we had a great turnout. I think we’re gonna have a lot of new members this year,” Co-Vice President, senior Annie Wheeler, said.
At the meeting, a few changes from last year were discussed. For example, KOE is no longer running the school store and the new points system was explained.
“Last year we had hours and it didn’t go very smoothly, so this year we’re giving points out if you come to stuff,” President and junior Catherine House said.
KOE strives to show appreciation to students, teachers, and other faculty members at North. The club’s biggest activities are Powder Puff, Teacher Appreciation Week, and the KOE Picnic at the end of the year.
“We talked about what KOE does over the span of the school year and what events we participate in. I am most excited for the KOE picnic in May,” senior Jake Shollar said.
Students are still welcome to join, the next meeting is Wednesday, Sept 5 at 6:55 in the auditorium.
“My brother was in KOE back when he attended North and said it was a great program and an easy way to meet friends,” Shollar said.
