Every fall varsity Knightline performs a guy girl dance at the Homecoming pep assembly and game. With Homecoming just two weeks away the varsity dancers have been hard at work creating a crowd pleasing dance routine featuring the guys around North.
“It is a tradition to do a guy girl dance and everyone enjoys watching it because it’s so funny,” Senior dancer Megan Shelley said.
The team has been busy choreographing the routine, picking dance partners, and cutting the special edition Knightline mix. The dancers have been having out of school practices to start preparing as much as they can now. The guys and girls only have two short weeks to learn the routine and perform it.
“It’s tough to cut all the music without making it sound choppy and coming up with different moves then years past,” Senior dancer Savannah Landers said.
Many of the dancers will be performing their first routine this Homecoming. There are 6 new members of varsity Knightline and only one returning guy dancer. Even though it is a stressful two weeks for the dancers, they are looking forward to fulfilling the crowds high expectations for the routine.
“Since I’m the only returning guy dancer it’s going to be interesting to see how it is with all new guys. Its going to be great forming a new brotherhood,” Returning Senior dancer Zach Ksiazek said.
