On Sept. 28 Varsity and JV Knightline held a kids clinic, at North, for girls kindergarten through eighth grade in the Francis Howell School District.
“The purpose of this clinic is to promote dance, promote the program, and get kids involved in the community,” Varsity head coach Tammy Rokita said.
Knightline taught the girls basic technique, standard dance arms, and a routine to perform at the Breast Cancer football game on Oct. 5. The girls also received pink t shirts, a bow, and a pom.
“What I enjoyed the most [about the clinic] was just getting the kids interested,” Varsity dancer Kelly Gannon said, “seeing them at the end of the day having fun makes me the most happiest.”
In the future Knightline will be doing more clinics, including a basketball clinic, which they couldn’t do last year due to lack of girls signed up.
“I’m looking forward to be able to perform our competition dances we have been working on, during half time,” Varsity dancer Morgan Robben said.
