On Sept. 22, the Saint Louis Cardinals played their last game in the NLCS against the San Francisco Giants. The Cardinals suffered a loss with the final score being 0-9. Needless to say, students at FHN were upset by this and wished the results were different.
“I’m very disappointed that we lost since we were so close to going to the World Series again. I just really wish the Cardinals would’ve won that game,” Junior Stephanie Sage said.
Students at FHN have thoughts on what could’ve been done better at the last game.
“The Cardinals could have worked a lot better as a team and been less intimidated by Giants,” Junior Miranda Lankford said.
Others students have similar opinions on the matter.
“[The Cardinals] had confidence, but they didn’t work well as team in that last game and could have played better defense,” Senior Trevor Lewis said.
Despite the loss the Cardinals faced in the last game, students remain faithful to the team.
“The Cardinals are awesome because they just bring the whole state together and generally work well together as a team,” Sage said. “The fact that we won the World Series last year is amazing as well.”
