“We’ve put in about 90 days the offseason with workouts and open gyms and played over 40 games since last season,” Varsity head coach Matt Watson said.
A majority of the team have been on Varsity since their Freshman year and have been working since then to be where they are now. Although the team has lost some height, each player brings new talents and ideas to the team.
“We’ve lost a lot of our height but the team that is playing has been together for a long time,” Junior guard Madison Gillam said.
The team has set both personal and team goals for the season. According to Watson they hope to get a conference championship, district championship and to go deep in the play-offs.
“We have goals, we push everybody and tell everyone to try their best and push them to be the player we think they can be,” Junior Paige Pauley said.
