They have been waiting patiently for 18 long years and now its finally here. On tuesday Nov 2nd teens who recently turned 18 received the right to participate in the best advantage of being a U.S citizen, voting. The 2012 new voters were very excited to have a say in this years election, inspite of the lack of knowledge they had about the General colleges.
“I liked everything except for reading up on everyone that would be on the ballot” Senior, Victoria Miller said.
Although, some of the voters didn’t agree with the turnout they still found the experience of being involved in their country remarkable.
“In the end MO is a rough state, but I still liked having a voice in my country” Allie Lukefahr said.
The 2012 new voters love being apart of something positive that will not only benefit them but also their country. Them stepping up to the plate and taking advantage of this opportunity lead them to encourage new voters to vote in the 2016.
“All people should want to take part in the say in their country’s leaders, but before you do make sure you pay attention to what’s going on and then chose the [candidate ] you think is best for America.” Senior Monishay Ingram said.
