The varsity boys’ soccer team lost 9-1 in Sectionals against Vianney at Vianney’s DonHeeb stadium. Vianney had nine Seniors on their team whereas North had only two Seniors playing in the game.
“I think the guys started off really strong and it looked promising, unfortunately once Vianney scored a few goals it was harder for North to compete,” Senior Christina Conley said.In Districts they had a 2-0 win against Pattonville and a 4-1 win against McCluer North, winning districts.
“Everyone worked extremely hard to win the game and go above and beyond,” Junior Tyler Walters said.
As the season comes to an end the team ended with a record of 9-1-15. Even with the losing season the team is looking at it as a learning season. Since there are only two Seniors on the team, most of the team will be returning next season.
“We had our ups and downs but it was a good learning season,”Assistant coach Zach Fettig said. “We will be able to apply it to next season.
