On Saturday, December 1 JV and Varsity Knightline will be performing at the Lindbergh competition. With this being the first competition of the season, the girls are eager to see how they will perform together. The dancers presented the routines they will be competing with for their friends and family at North on Tuesday, November 7. The Varsity routine consists of kick line which was choreographed by the seniors on the team and a jazz number choreographed by a guest. The JV team has been working on a pom and jazz routine to perform. Both teams have been preparing for this competition since September.
“At practices we have been working really hard drilling both our kick and jazz routines so that we can be prepared to go out there and win,” Varsity dancer and Junior Hannah Chowning said. “I am both very confident and a little nervous, but I know we all will go out there and kill it.”
The team has been working hard by practicing and running their routines everyday after school at Hollenbeck Middle. They work a lot better together since the beginning of the season where they competed at camp and have grown more as a team. Knightline and the coaches are anxious to see how they place at the Lindbergh competition against the other schools.
” I expect confidence the moment the team hit the stage because all of their hard work will pay off in their performance,” Assistant Varsity coach Elizabeth Telge said. “This team dances so well together and all of their talent will be rewarded on Saturday.
