On Dec. 10-11, Dr. Hennenfent led the track and field meeting for anyone that was interested. On Dec. 10 the meeting was in the auditorium after school, and there was also a meeting in the big gym in the morning, before school on Dec.11.
“I hope everyone go all the information they needed for track and field and the expectations we have for this season,” Sprints Coach, Jenelle Louis said.
There has been a big change in the rules from this season to previous years. According to all the coaches they had problems with the team last season and plan on cracking down on the rules and consequences for this upcoming season.
“I expect lots of dedication this year, and discipline, I am not joking around anymore, I want this team to be the best they can be,” track director, Dr.Hennenfent said.
There were many new attendees that attended the meeting and many are now ready for the season since the meeting helped a lot.
“I am super excited about the season because everybody says track and field are really fun, now that I know what to expect, i’m not as scared.” Junior, Tommyshea oats said.
Overall the meetings helped new attendees and athletes from previous season plan for the upcoming track season which starts the last week of February.
“It helped a lot because now I know the rules have changed and that I need my job to work around the track schedule,” Sophomore, Sydnee Hogue said
