Sweat drips down their faces, their breathing is heavy and the teams’ exhausted faces leave the court after a the long fought battle against the FZN Panthers. From the beginning of the game the score was close. Double over time had the team and the crowd on the edge of their seats awaiting the outcome of the game.
“I was excited at the end of regulation and overtime when Kyle Lemons hit his shots,” junior Brandon Chac said. “I was disappointed that they lost because the whole team played such a great game the entire time.”
The boys basketball season ended on Feb. 25 after their loss to the Panthers with a score of 75-83. According to junior point guard Austin Knott, the team had played better than they had all season. While the season may not have gone as planned, they were pleased with their performance against the Panthers.
“We played well,” Senior forward Kyle Lemons said. “We played better together because there was more of a fight to win. It was a great game to end on playing the first team in the conference.”
The team came together and played their best. The whole team was was into the game, the players on the bench spent their time cheering on their team. After the long fought game, teammates were disappointed with their loss but also they realized that the seniors had played their last game.
“Before the game we came together for the last game of the season,” Knott said. “After the game the team was sad because it was our seniors last game. The locker rooms were quiet.”

im so shocked that we lost
