The Gateway Reader’s Voting Party will take place this Friday, March 1st. Students who have read any Gateway books are eligible to attend after signing up in the commons. There will be a discussion on most of the books in the category, and anyone who has read three or more Gateway books can vote on their favorite one. The Gateways books are picked by a community of librarians who narrow down their selections from approximately 25 books.
After all the high schools in Missouri have voted, the organization will announce the winning book at the state conference at the Lake of the Ozarks this April.
” I think that my favorite part of the party is always when I find out what the kids think because sometimes I am surprised,” Librarian Angie Davis said.
