The Crooked Tree Coffeehouse is a Coffeehouse that serves drinks, breakfast, meals and desserts. Crooked Tree is located on First Capitol Drive, before the light at 6th street.
Crooked Tree is open Monday-Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Wednesday-Friday, they’re open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The coffeehouse is also open on Saturday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and on Sunday from 7 am – 6 pm.

I’ve been here since day one. My wife, Julie Hunter is the co-owner.
3. How long has the Coffeehouse been around?
We’ve been open for a little over ten years.
4. How many employees does the coffeehouse currently have?
There are ten employees working for us right now.
5. What has been your favorite part of owning the Crooked Tree Coffeehouse?
I’ve made a lot of new friends here. Because I own the coffeehouse, I’m able to make my own decisions and have my own flexibility.
6. What is unique about this coffeehouse compared to others and why would you recommend it?
I think it’s unique because of the depth and variety of our stuff. We have a full breakfast and lunch menu and we attempt to please everyone’s tastes.
7. Why would the Crooked Tree Coffeehouse be an interesting place for students to visit?
Students would enjoy it here because we’re laid back and we’re a relaxing place. They can come and hangout, read a book, play the piano and just do whatever they need to do.
8. How did the coffeehouse come about?
Julie and I were running restaurants for other people for over 25 years. We decided to give it a shot on our own and one of our concepts was a coffeehouse.
9. Do you guys hold any special events?
We’re pretty open with people wanting to hold events- if people want to schedule to play some music, then they can. A little bit of everything goes on here.
10. If someone is visiting the Coffeehouse for the first time, what are some things you would recommend that they try?
I would recommend any of our specials, including the house special which is called “The Nut.” I would also recommend the Crooked Tree Salad or the breakfast quesadillas.
