On Mar. 19 help the first official track meet for FHN’s track and field. This was a JV meet for 9-10 graders, and a few 11 graders. The track meet started at 3:30 and admission was free.
“Today was the first official track meet for everyone to get their time trials and see how they compare to the other school,” Gregory Hennenfent, Track & Field Director said.
Wentzville Holts were apart of the meet today and were involved in all the events. The events consisted of a 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1600 for sprints and distance runners. Throwers and discus did their events also. According to Hennenfent he was pleased with the events and the outcome of the meet.
“The meet today went very well, I feel everybody put their best foot forward and gave it their all, I definitely see improvement an i’m excited for the rest of the season,” Hennenfent said.
All the athletes were also very pleased with the meet also.
“I felt I did really well today and also everybody else, it was a good meet,” Sprinter, Amanda Simmons said.
