Due to thunderstorms, the boys Varsity meet on Friday, Fred Lyons Invitational, was made into a one day meet instead of the originally intended two days. To cut down on time, prelims or preliminary rounds were also cut out; making every event a final. The 4 x 1600m, a relay that isn’t traditionally run, was also cut out to save time.
North finished 10 out of 14 schools. Among the medalist were the fifth place boy’s 4 x 800m team, which included seniors Brendan Kirchoff, Sam McKee, junior Brandon Rosner and sophomore Justin Levins.
“I was happy we medaled but disappointed in my time,” Rosner said.
The team hopes to keep improving in order to achieve Doc Hennefent’s long time goal of winning Conference.
“I just need to run faster,” Rosner said.
