The Winter Drumline season ended with high placements throughout several competitions. This includes an 8th place finish in there division in Dayton, Ohio, an improvement over last years record.
“This was a big step for the entire Drumline,” instructor and former section leader Tommy Roam said. “I would say they improved more than we even expected them to.”
The success could be caused by the many members of Drumline whom are part of the Knightpride Marching Band percussion section, which had on its own, won several awards including best Drumline in more than one competition. However some account it to better organized rehearsals.
“We practiced more this year, and it seems like it payed off.” Sophomore Kevin Balch said.
Several underclassmen are already preparing for next year, however for the Drumline’s many seniors, this marks the last season of their high school career. With it all over, many of them feel like they ended on a high point.
“I’m happy with the way things turned out,” Senior Eric Craven said. “This is the best season we’ve had in the last few years.”
