The KOE picnic this year made a lot of people happy. The sponsors, organization members, and the students invited to celebrate with the picnic felt that it was a huge success. The weather this year was a toasty 85 degrees, and sunny; which was quite a relief to those in charge of the picnic after the rain cancellation last year. The inflatables, hot dogs, ice cream, and games were a lot of fun for everyone.
“Several students said that they enjoyed the picnic, and they said it’s a great incentive for working hard all year. Sophomore Kelly Noland said, “I think the picnic this year was great, it was perfect weather, and the games were a lot of fun. It’s a great reason for students to work hard all year, so they can go to it.”
Other students agreed.
“Yeah I love the picnic every year we have it, I was really disappointed last year when it was cancelled. But I think this year definitely made up for it, with the great food and of course the blowups were a blast,” said Junior Daniel Ingle.
The picnic included inflatables, Frisbee, and various games of volleyball and catch. There was an abundance of food offered to students at the picnic as well, including hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sodas, and Popsicles.
“I love all of the food, it’s a great change of pace from the normal school food. I don’t even eat lunch on the days that we have the picnic, because I know I’ll fill up on hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and soda.” sophomore Kevin Rudberg said.
Overall, the general census was that the picnic was a great success, and the members of KOE felt really good about the party as a whole.
“I think the party was awesome, I knew when we were setting it up and the weather was sunny and warm, that it would be a good day. The food was awesome, the inflatables were awesome, and the whole party was awesome. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.” Junior Sydney Hardin said,
