On August 30, the varsity football team took on Vianney for both teams’ first game. The Knights scored first on a 43 yard Jordan Moody touchdown, but the Knights failed to get the extra point. Vianney then answered with three touchdowns, including a 74 yard run. Vianney in the second quarter then scored two touchdowns, along with a two-point conversion to bring the score to 6-28 heading into the half. The Knights scored quickly in the third quarter to bring the score to 14-28. In the fourth quarter, Vianney scored, but on the kickoff, Jordan Moody returned the ball to now make the score 21-35 with less than 8 minutes to play. However, Vianney then scored on a 65 yard touchdown pass which concluded the scoring for the night. The final was 28-42. (photos by matt krieg)
