Last week on September 10, freshman diver Peter Lucido broke his own record of 241 to get 271. He did this in the meet against Fort Zumwalt West and Timberland.
“It felt really good to beat my own record again,” Lucido said. “It was really cool.”
The week before that in a meet against Fort Zumwalt South, Lucido not only made his own record, but also qualified for state and beat the schools record.
“It’s pretty awesome to see someone put all the hard work into it and get to state this early in the season,” senior and fellow swim teammate Zac Fletcher said.
On average Lucido practices 3 hours a day from monday to friday at the Rec Plex.
“After putting in all the hard work it felt really good to accomplish it,” Lucido said.
Along with one other freshman diver, Lucido are the first divers North has seen in eight years.
