On Thursday Sep 26, the girls varsity volleyball team played Howell at 6:00 pm. It was a back and forth game but
Howell pulled through with the win.
“I think we could have communicated more with each other,” Junior Anna Ford said, “And we shouldn’t have dug ourselves into a big hole to get out of in the beginning of the game.”
The girls lost the first game and last game with scores of 25-8 and 25-18, but pulled through and won the second game 25-21.
“The first game we were very off,” Ford said, “The second game we stayed in it and really fought for the win, the third game started off slow and we tried to bring ourselves back up but just couldn’t come out on top.”
The team knew this would be a tough game but came into it with a good attitude anyways.
“We just wanted to beat Howell more than anything.” Senior Dani Dagenais said.
Even though the team did not get the outcome they were hoping for, they still fought hard and prepared themselves for this game all week.
“We did everything we needed to,” Junior Val Udovenko said, “We covered every aspect of the game during practice but when it came to game time we just lacked communication and energy.”
