On Sep. 27, the Francis Howell North Knights hosted their rival, the Francis Howell Central Spartans in the annual Homecoming football game at FHN. Along with the football game, JV Knighline, and marching band played pregame to entertain fans. Then at halftime, Varsity Knightline with Studline performed. Homecoming court was then announced. Seniors Molly Kube and Raymond Che were crowned as king and queen.
The Spartans were the first to score. A field goal put the Spartans up 3-0 after 2:15 into the game. The Spartans scored three more times on touchdowns while missing an extra-point attempt. The Knights scored once in the first half on a fumble recovery by Drake Kruep. After two quarters of play, FHC lead the Knights by the score of 23-7. In the second half of the game, FHN scored twice, however FHC scored two more times themselves to keep the lead and win the game by the score of 21-37.
The next football game will be next Friday at home. The Knights will be hosting the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars. Game time will be 7:00 P.M. (photos by matt krieg)
