This past week, senior Abigail Griffin started off the first two games of the week going five-for-five and four-for-five recording four RBI’s in the two games. Over the whole week she recorded 10 runs, 14 hits, and 8 stolen bases.
“I think I did really well this past week both offensively and defensively” Griffin said
Along with those stats, Griffin currently has highest batting average on the team with a .544 going 43 for 79. She has also gotten 24 runs, 14 RBI’s and 28 stolen bases.
“I think I have done alright this season coming back from my knee injury” Griffin said. “It is difficult adjusting to it I don’t think I am fully back but I am doing pretty well.”
Griffin also plays soccer and tore her ACL playing for her club soccer team last season. This is Griffin’s 12th season playing softball. She has played varsity three of her four years; freshman, sophomore, and senior year. Griffin missed her junior year of softball because she of a knee injury.
