Over fall break, sophomores Abbey Carpenter and Kenzie Allen went to Destin, Florida together for vacation along with Abbey’s family and junior Austin Knott. They went to Florida together last year as well during fall break and loved it so they decided to go back again this year to get away from the cold Missouri weather and soak in the sun.

“When we’re together we always have fun,” Carpenter said.

While they were in Destin the girls went to the beach, laid out, went shopping and went out to dinner every night with the family. When they got back to their room from laying out on the beach all day, they liked to blast their music and sing along together. They even played a little game of spoons with the family.

“My favorite thing that we did was going shopping and my favorite place to eat at was the frozen yogurt shop,” Allen said.

They plan to make Destin a yearly fall break trip, but as much as the girls love going on vacation to Florida, they would also like to visit more places together and do new things. They have been friends for a long time and plan to stay friends for a very long time, so they have time to travel to new places and make new memories together.

“I think we are planning on going to Florida again next year but we really want to go to Mexico together,” Allen said.
