On Oct 22, the Francis Howell North Knights Volleyball team will be taking on the Francis Howell High Vikings.
This game is highly anticipated not only because Howell is our biggest rivals, but because North have improved much more from the last time they played Howell, said by some of the players. The last time they played the Vikings, they won one of the sets but lost the other two.
“I think my team will play strong against Howell and make them earn every point. I think we will win if we play like we played against Central,” Sophomore Meghan Mitchell said, “All we need to do is swing away and not let them have any big leads.”
The last game played against Central on October 15, both teams had won one set, and 26-24 in the last set with the Knights claiming victory. One of the key components to their winning, is how close they are.
“My favorite part about playing volleyball is how you have to play as a team and rely on your teammates. It takes everybody to win and you can’t rely on one person to carry the team,” Mitchell said.
The game will take place in the gym at Francis Howell north on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
