Girls Cross Country
This year, junior Emma Gordon believes she had a good season because she has improved a lot since freshman year. She enjoyed meeting new people this season and liked always having someone to run with. While she did not enjoy the work out and speed training days she does think she need to take care of her body more after she runs. Next year Gordon hopes the team sends more people to districts.
Haile Rickermann (Senior)
Girls Golf
Senior Haile Rickermann thought that this season was definitely better then last season. Last year was her first year playing so she never got to make it to any tournaments. When she got to play in her first tournament she said it was her favorite part of the whole season. Rickermann would have liked to make more tournaments but with work she had to miss a lot of them along with practices. She thinks next year the team can improve scores and advance into more tournaments.
Courtney Laughlin (Sophomore)
Varsity Softball
The girls softball team never gave up in any games no matter what the score was according to sophomore Courtney Laughlin. She thinks the team bonding really helped them come together as a team. Next year Laughlin thinks they can improve by trying harder at practices and working on things over and over to get them right.
Stonyrae Harris (Senior)
Varsity Girls Volleyball
Senior Stonyrae Harris believes the girls volleyball team grew so much as a team this season. She thinks they had a rough start but they are in a tough conference. She enjoyed the trip to Lebanon because she got to spend time with her closest friends. Next year she hopes the team beats Howell and would like them to have a better record.
Keegan Fouch (Senior)
Varsity Boys Soccer
This year senior Keegan Fouch thinks their season went okay. He thinks that everyone was in most of the games but the concentration would fail during vital points of them games. He hopes that next year they will work harder and start to finsih the opportunities they have.
Risa Takenaka (Junior)
Varsity Girls Tennis
This year the girls tennis team went undefeated in their regular season games. Junior Risa Takenaka was very proud when she picked herself up after her first lost to FZS number one player. She was proud of the team this year and glad to see how much they have improved. Her favorite part was getting to play doubles with her sister freshman Yuri Takenaka. She thinks next year they can set higher goals and try harder in practices.
