The Knights Varsity hockey team failed to defend their Gold Cup title and trophy on Nov 2. The Knights fell to the Howell Vikings 2-12 at the Rec Plex South. Howell scored twice early in the first period. The Knights earned the final point of the period at 5:11.

The Vikings pulled ahead at the start of the second period scoring twice in just under two minutes. A Knight scored against the Vikings with 2 minutes left, earning their final point. A Viking managed to score within 45 second of the Knights’ point bringing the score to 2-6.

The third period went poorly for North. Howell scored aggressively throughout the final period. The final score was 2-12 with the Vikings claiming the Gold Cup at home. The Knights will next face Eureka on Nov 4. (shot by ashleigh jenkins and alyssa savage)
