On Wednesday Nov. 20, Youth in Government club will be selling donuts before school, during
homeroom, and in room 157 for a dollar.
“We will have chocolate, vanilla, and glazed donuts so please come buy them,” youth in government sponsor Russ Beckman said.
The money they raise will be used to pay for transportation for an upcoming Youth in Government conference in Jefferson City that the group will be attending.
“I think this trip to Jeff city will be a lot of fun,” junior Mark Counts said.
They have also had other fundraisers, including a hat day earlier in the year. Previous events haven’t had many people participate because they weren’t announced early enough. This time, they hope more people will be willing to participate and purchase doughnuts. After they pay Paul’s Donuts they expect to have about 75 dollars to pay for their transportation.
“I really like it when clubs sell donuts, I think its a great way for them to earn money because who doesn’t likes donuts,” freshman Taylor Just said.
