Everybody was shocked after the Alabama lost their first game to ranked Auburn to a last second field goal return for a touchdown. This is the first time in 16 years that any team has not won consecutive SEC championships. Now the unexpected matchup between #5 Missouri and #3 Auburn will be held on Saturday. The stakes are high for both teams because their is no doubt if either #1 Florida State or #2 Ohio State loses their championship games.
The matchup between Missouri and Auburn will be won through the air, and if Auburn’s secondary can match up with the size and speed of Missouri’s wide receivers. Also Missouri’s defense is better suited for Auburn’s offense, probably better than Alabama’s defense was because Missouri is use to the option style offense.
Florida State has it easy. Their conferences are so easy its not even worth watching their championship games. In the ACC, Florida State takes on #20 Duke for the ACC championship which the Blue Devils lost their last 18 meeting. If Duke is able to beat FSU, it will the greatest upset in NCAA history, but highly unlikely.
Ohio State has a tougher challenge going up against #10 Michigan State. It will be a power vs. power showdown between the Buckeye’s running attack and the Spartans defense which leads the country in yards allowed on the ground and through the air. If Michigan State wants to upset Ohio State, they have to make the Buckeye’s stud QB Braxton Miller make throws where he doesn’t want to. This is championship week, and right now every team is putting their entire season on the line for one more game. Whether it be a bowl game or the National Championship. Missouri will come out and over power the Auburn Tigers. Michigan state will upset the Buckeyes by shocking them by shutting down their power rushing attack. I see Missouri vs. Florida State for the BCS championship in Pasadena, California.
