On Dec. 14, the Francis Howell North Knights faced the Fort Zumwalt East Lions at Rec Plex South. The Lions scored first, after playing only 2:42. The Knights then came back and scored a goal of their own with 3:04 left to play in the 1st period. After another goal was scored by FZE, North again came back to score another goal, tying the game at 2 early in the 2nd period. Within the next minute, North scored to more goals, bringing the score to 4-2. By the end of the 2nd period, North scored three more times. The score going into the 3rd period was 7-3.

Early in the 3rd period, FZE scored, bringing them within three goals on tying FHN with eleven minutes to play. However, North scored to quick goals. The score remained for the rest of the game at 9-4.
